Hello, it seems that your game is in need of an update. I’d start by rebooting the PlayStation 4. If anything goes wrong with the upgrade, this should assist. This may be done via the power menu; be sure to restart rather than merely put the machine in sleep mode.
Then, when you relaunch the game, choose Madden and hit the start button. You may check for updates here. You may restart the game after you’ve verified that you’ve been updated, and hopefully this problem will not occur again.
Update 1.11 for Madden 17 is now available for download on PS4 and Xbox One. With this game patch, EA Sports addressed a number of bugs. Gameplay, Madden Ultimate Team (MUT), and general game stability will all benefit from the upgrade.
Update 1.11 Gameplay Fixes
The most serious issue addressed by this version is a gameplay error in which tackles enter a blocking play or animation but never really block or engage a defender. The tackles, on the other hand, let the defenders fly right past them and directly to the quarterback. This happened to me recently when playing online H2H matches, and this update couldn’t have arrived at a better time. I’m sure many of you share my sentiments.
In Gauntlet, Franchise Game Planning Drills, and Skills Trainer modes, Madden 17 Update 1.11 also solves several problems with gameplay speed. These game types have lately had a lot of latency, which EA claims will be fixed with this update.
Update 1.11 Ultimate Team Fixes
The most recent patch also fixes various issues with the online MUT and Draft Champions game modes. Madden 17 Update 1.11, according to EA’s Facebook page, solves a glitch in Play-a-Friend games where a player’s profile preferences weren’t being detected and loaded properly. In addition, a problem with the scoreboard display in online MUT and Draft Champions has been resolved. The first three letters of a team’s name will now be shown on the screen.
Update 1.11 Stability Fixes
Stability concerns caused by Live Commentary Updates have also been resolved. Madden 17 Update 1.11 fixed an issue when refusing to download a new commentary or restarting the game after a long period of inactivity caused significant slowness in game play and menu displays. Other minor game stability concerns are also addressed in Update 1.11.
This might be the last update for the game this year. Update 1.10 for Madden NFL 17 was published on February 14, 2017, exactly one month ago to the day. The players of Madden weren’t expecting another one so soon. The most important change is undoubtedly the gameplay problem when tackles totally miss blocks. Of course, it all depends on your preferred game mode.
Have you installed Update 1.11 yet? What additional concerns do you want EA to address in future updates? Please feel free to leave any questions or comments in the section below.
